When I started designing clocks in 2003 my original goal was to create clocks for children that were functional, fun, unique and truly clever. I've been a mother much longer than a crafter so when I started drawing, my children were my first and best critics and still are. With all the energy they have given, or left to me, I kept my art focused on what they enjoyed and needed in those curious years from birth through elementary school years. Yes, they are older now, and so am I. My goals remain the same but are beginning to shift into designs that will please the adult and child in all of us. However, I wonder where our "growing" will take us all, I just hope I grow up to be as functional, fun, unique and truly clever as my mother.
My customers provide wonderful inspiration for many of my new designs.
I learned long ago what I really like is not necessarily what sells. So now, I’m a better listener than I used to be. Bring on the ideas. I’ll listen. Color changes, design changes and personalization are what I do the best. | |
